Undertaking Format for K-Electric New Electricity Connection (Commercial Use)

K-ELECTRIC UNDERTAKING NEW ELECTRICITY CONNECTION FOR COMMERCIAL USE

REQUIREMENT OF NATIONAL TAX NUMBER (NTN).

This Undertaking is executed on  _______ day of _______________, 202__ at Karachi.

by Mr. ____________________________________ /o, _______________________________having CNIC No._________________________________, adult, resident of ___________________________________ ________________________________________________________(hereinafter referred to as the “Applicant”).

WHEREAS the Applicant has applied to K-Electric for a new connection vide case ID __________________ dated ______________ for commercial purposes at ____________________________________________________ _______________________ measuring ____________ Sq. yards. Now therefore this Undertaking provides as under:

In consideration of K-Electric processing my application for new connection based on the information and documents provided by me which I hereby confirm to be true and correct in all material respects, and further irrevocably and unconditionally agree, affirm and undertake as following:

1. That I am not required by law to enroll for National Tax Number (NTN) and file my income tax return under Section 114 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 since my annual income does not exceed the minimum tax slab of Rs.400,000/- and that my electricity consumption bill will not be more than Rs.500,000 in a year which are prerequisite to file income tax return under the law.

2. That in the event of my annual income exceeding the minimum tax threshold as defined above or any other conditions for filing of return are met, I will enroll for NTN with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and accordingly inform K-Electric to update their records.

3. That in case of any deviation/violation/objection/misstatement in terms of para 1& 2 above, I shall abide by all applicable FBR and KE Policies, relevant laws, rules and regulations and the same shall be removed by me promptly at my own risk and cost to the entire exclusion of K-Electric. I further undertake that in such a scenario K-Electric shall be at liberty to disconnect or dismantle my electricity connection and that no refund shall be admissible for the payment made to K-Electric for service connection charges.

4. That I shall completely indemnify, defend and hold K-Electric harmless from any and all losses, liabilities, claims (including third party claims), lawsuits, causes of action, penalties, damages, costs, penalties, fines, expenses, fees (including any attorney’s fees and/or other legal expenses) and charges of whatsoever nature which K-Electric may incur or face due to its reliance on this Undertaking.

5. That this Undertaking is in addition to and not in derogation or substitution of any other rights or remedies that K Electric may be entitled to under the applicable law /rules & regulations.

6. That whatever is given above is true and correct in all material aspects and I have not withheld or failed to disclose any material information to K-Electric.
